Shining Sharp

"Shining Sharp is a project consisting of jewellery I made of tin wire melted with a soldering iron. the effect was a set of amorphous pieces of shining tin, some of them reminiscent of claws, rocailles, or thorns. Much like in traditional religious paintings, in which the scenes of crowning with thorns were made to shock the  beholder with the painful closeness of spiky thorns and skin, my aim was to achieve a stark contrast between the  softness of the human body and the sharp and cold mass of metal.”
